Ramone’s has become a gathering place for the community – great food and friendly service in a fun, warm, and casual atmosphere. Each of our cafés offers a wide variety of breakfast pastries, desserts, and cookies, freshly baked bread, and specialty cakes as well as grab & go deli options such as sandwiches and salads. We serve hot and cold drinks prepared from our house-roasted organic coffee and espresso, our house-made chai or golden milk, as well as other offerings. Our bistro café also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, wine, beer, and cider. We roast our own organic coffee, offer catering services, and create custom cakes for weddings and occasions.
We genuinely love serving Humboldt County and want to keep providing quality food and friendly service for years to come.
About Us
the owners
Ramone’s Bakery & Café started as Opera Alley Café in 1981 in Old Town Eureka, serving international food with a California twist. Because of the popularity of our desserts and baked goods, we opened a bakery around the corner in 1986. Ramone’s is still owned and operated by one of the original owners, Berit Meyer, joined in 1990 by her husband, Brian Ferguson. Read more about Berit and Brian
about our name
Our name comes from an old Eureka character named Remo, also known as Ramone, easily recognized by his chapeau hat and faux leather jacket in Eureka’s Old Town.

We now have 5 retail locations around Humboldt bay - with everything from smaller outlets and sit-down cafés, to a full-service bistro café. Team Ramone’s now has more than 100 employees ready to serve you.
